Promotion of Falls Prevention programs in Community and Clinical Settings

Falls prevention involves a collective effort amongst all members of healthcare and public health communities. It is important that clinical and service providers, public health professionals, and government officials work together to educate and raise awareness about the falls-related injuries and deaths, in addition to the financial costs associated with falls.

The Falls Free Vermont coalition promotes the integration of the CDC STEADI Toolkit into clinical practice. The materials found in this toolkit can help support medical providers in caring for their patients through easy-to-use screening and assessment tools that are targeted to comprehensively address the multifactorial nature of falls for older adults.
